Porter Airlines Launches First Central America Route With New Toronto–Liberia, Costa Rica Flights
Porter Airlines has added a new international milestone to its growing network with the launch of roundtrip service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Liberia, Costa Rica. The new flights mark Porter’s first entry into Central America and expand the airline’s winter schedule with another southern leisure destination.
The Toronto–Liberia route will operate up to six times weekly and follows the rollout of several new warm-weather destinations this season, including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Nassau. The service also complements Porter’s joint venture with Air Transat, providing additional options for travelers heading to sun markets across the Caribbean and Latin America.
Located in the Guanacaste province, Liberia serves as a popular gateway to Costa Rica’s beaches, eco-tourism regions and national parks known for their biodiversity and outdoor experiences.
All flights are operated on Porter’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2, featuring the airline’s elevated economy product. Passengers experience no middle seats, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, free premium snacks and high-speed WiFi.
Travelers purchasing the all-inclusive PorterReserve fare receive additional amenities such as fresh meals, priority services, two checked bags and flexible booking. Those booking PorterClassic fares may add the same features individually based on their travel needs. VIPorter loyalty members can redeem points for flights to sun destinations with both Porter and Air Transat.
Service from Ottawa to Liberia will begin later this month, further increasing Porter’s presence in Central America.
