AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person has critical, life-threatening injuries after falling into a grease trap at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Wednesday. Two other men were hurt.
Around 3:07 a.m. the man fell into the 8-10 foot deep hole, where all the grease from restaurants at ABIA collects. According to Austin-Travis County EMS, two of the people were exposed to the grease but were able to get themselves out. One was not able to get out on his own, went into cardiac arrest and was given CPR. All three men went to the hospital.
