Southwest Airlines Plane Diverted to Bradley Airport Due to In-Flight ‘Issue,’ Officials Say

May 30, 2023

May 30—WINDSOR LOCKS — A Southwest Airplanes plane was diverted to Bradley International Airport Monday after the aircraft reported an issue during the flight, officials said.

The aircraft landed safely at around 8:45 p.m. and there was no impact to the airport, according to Alisa Sisic, a spokesperson for the Connecticut Airport Authority, which operates the airport.

It is unclear what exactly prompted the unexpected landing. Sisic did not offer any more details about the incident, and a Southwest spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
