Matt Guthmiller – Keynote Luncheon Speaker for 2022 ACC/AAAE Planning, Design, and Construction Symposium

Feb. 22, 2022

World-record setting aviator Matt Guthmiller will be the keynote luncheon speaker at the AAAE/ACC Airport Planning, Design & Construction Symposium (March 1-3 in Nashville).

At the age of 19, Guthmiller became the youngest person ever to circumnavigate the globe on a solo flight. Since then, he has accumulated thousands of hours flying all over the world in his Beechcraft Bonanza (N367HP) and is ready to share his unique experiences at airports around the world.

According to the Airport Consultants Council, Shannetta Griffin, P.E., FAA associate administrator for airports, also will be in attendance at the symposium. Griffin was appointed to her position on June 7, 2021, by President Joe Biden and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. She has more than 35 years of experience as a professional engineer and small business advocate within the private and public sectors of the transportation industry with an emphasis on aviation.

Other high-level presenters from NASA and Boeing also plan to attend, according to ACC.
