Tecnam Celebrates 70 Years with a New P92

Tecnam announced the newest edition of the popular high wing two-seater P92. With 70 years of aircraft design behind them, Tecnam wants to celebrate the aircraft that re-launched their passion for flying. The P92 was designed in 1992, when the two Pascale brothers were thinking about ending aircraft manufacturing. The push of Paolo Pascale, Giovanni’s son, convinced to the brothers to present the original two seat high wing P92. After 27 years and many different versions, the P92 MkII arrives as the modern culmination of Tecnam knowhow and expertise in aircraft manufacturing, coupling retro style and modern solutions.

This totally new P92 MkII takes the best from the many models of the Tecnam fleet: the P2008 for the carbon fibre fuselage and wider cabin design, P92 Eaglet for the wing, ASTORE for the windows design shape, and the SIERRA MkII for the engine cowling.

With a MTOW ranging from 472.5 up to 600 kg, the P92 MkII is available as ULM, US-LSA and ready for the new EU 600kg category. This new category is available in those EU Countries where this new category is approved by their Local Civil Aviation Authorities. There is great support among European pilots to have a common European rule that allows a 600 kg ULM aeroplane to fly.

The P92 MkII features superlative performance and flying qualities, confirmed by hundreds of P92 sold throughout the world. The ease of piloting and maintenance make this aircraft an excellent solution for training in flight schools, but also fun for private use. The option to use multifuel makes this aircraft even more flexible and cost effective. The P92 MkII is an outstanding aircraft, a perfect mix of aerodynamics, performance, and structural efficiency.

This new P92 MkII is available with with a standard analogue cockpit or latest glass avionic Garmin G3X, with touchscreens integrated with Garmins extensive line of GPS/Nav/Comms, to provide a fully glass suite solution or. With a sporty style interior and different paint schemes, the aircraft is available as either UL or LSA and in the new 600 kg EU category.
