Airhub Aviation recently announced a new MRO site at Vilnius International Airport (VNO), expanding GetJet Group’s MRO reach in the region.

Airhub Aviation is a subsidiary of GetJet Group. The company acquired the land for the new MRO site during a land lease auction run by Lithuanian Airports.

Airhub Aviation’s new MRO site spans 11,200 square meters of land, with the company leasing the plot for 40 years and intending to invest around €25 million in the maintenance hangar.

In addition, GetJet Group has entered a long-term lease agreement for a nearby 4,700-square-meter plot that will be used for another hangar, which will take around €10 million in construction.

When the new MRO facility at VNO is finished, GetJet Group aims to open around 200 highly skilled aviation jobs to support the aircraft maintenance workforce—some at Vilnius and some at the company’s other maintenance facility at Šiauliai airport. 

New aviation jobs planned for Airhub Aviation’s new MRO include:

• Aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT)
• Aircraft maintenance engineers
• Avionics specialists
• Engine maintenance professionals

AirhubAviation also plans to hire quality control and logistics experts to ensure hangar operations remain efficient and optimized.

As part of these hiring efforts, GetJet Airlines and Airhub Aviation are working with Vaidotas Žala—2026 Dakar Rally winner and three-time Lithuanian rally champion—to highlight similarities between aviation and automotive maintenance and attract talent from other industries.

GetJet Airlines CEO Inga Duglas said, “Developing our own MRO infrastructure is a major step towards strengthening our ability to support our fleet independently while increasing the control, flexibility and efficiency required in the ACMI and aviation asset management businesses.”

Duglas noted, “In today’s aviation environment, access to reliable MRO capacity and the ability to respond quickly are critical competitive advantages.”

“We can currently mobilize within 1.5 hours of request confirmation and conduct more than 500 ad-hoc operations each year, positioning GetJet Airlines as the ‘Task Force of Aviation.’ This investment further strengthens our technical independence and enhances the operational reliability we deliver to our clients,” added Duglas.
