Liebherr-Aerospace has announced that it will be showcasing innovative solutions designed for next-generation aircraft at NBAA BACE 2025.

The company will be showcasing its products at booth 1555 from October 14 through 16, 2025.

“We are very pleased to present our products and capabilities for the aerospace industry,” said Alex Vlielander, chief customer officer and member of the Board at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS.

Vlielander continued, “Beyond that, the event is a great platform to network with different stakeholders and discuss current challenges and trends.”

Landing gear systems

Liebherr designs solutions for several aircraft types, such as the Legacy 650. At NBAA BACE, the company will highlight nose landing gear made by Embraer for the Legacy 650.

Aside from designing, Liebherr also manufactures and services complete systems, including:

  • Brakes
  • Cockpit controls
  • Extension/retraction and steering actuation
  • Landing gear structures
  • Position and warning systems
  • Sensors
  • Wheels

Air management systems

Liebherr provides clean air solutions like the integrated air management system, which enhances passenger and crew comfort on the Falcon 6X business jet from Dassault Aviation. The company is also currently developing a dedicated cabin air humidification system.

Liebherr develops and supplies integrated air management systems that increase operational safety and passenger comfort levels by regulating the following:

  • Air supply
  • Humidity
  • Pressure
  • Temperature

The systems encompass:

  • Air distribution
  • Bleed air and air conditioning components
  • Cabin pressurization
  • Ice protection
  • Supplemental cooling

Electromechanical actuators

Liebherr researches and develops electromechanical actuators (EMA) for medium to large commercial aircraft, recently adding smaller actuators to its portfolio.

The new concept offers solutions for the AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) sector and covers smaller aircraft, business jets and helicopters. Liebherr's EMA family concept is informed by the rigorous flight testing different aircraft programs have completed with actuators and related electronics. The development approach makes scalability for:

  • High reliability
  • Small installation spaces
  • Favorable power-to-weight ratio

Aftermarket activities

The Liebherr-Aerospace Team also plans to discuss aftermarket activities at NBAA BACE with operators, customers and global partners. In the USA, Liebherr’s customer service organization is represented by Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc., based in Saline, Michigan.

Liebherr’s Michigan service facility provides repair services, technical support and spares distribution, and operates a liaison office in Seattle, Washington. Liebherr-Aerospace operates another service facility in Laval, near Montreal, Canada, that offers logistics, technical and engineering support.
