Two people suffered minor injuries Friday morning, Jan. 27, when their airplane made an emergency landing south of French Valley Airport and flipped over, authorities said.

The Cessna T210N took off from Long Beach Airport at 7:46 a.m. and went down at 8:12 a.m., according to FlightAware.com.

The plane landed in a gulley and flipped over.

The pilot and passenger were able to get out on their own, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said. They were taken to a hospital.

There was no fire, and no fuel leaked into the waterway.

The pilot was not identified, and the cause of the crash was unclear. Federal officials will investigate.
