NBAA 2007 Annual Meeting & Convention

Aug. 14, 2007

The NBAA 60th annual meeting and convention is being held Sept. 25, 26, and 27 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

With all that goes on at an NBAA convention, it can be challenging to sort out the maintenance-related seminars and events that take place. To help you better plan for NBAA, we have put together the following general show information and a preview of events taking place relating to aircraft maintenance.

Be sure to attend the NBAA maintenance committee update on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (see page S10). This is your opportunity to learn about all of the projects the maintenance committee is involved in. Topics to be discussed include Project Bootstrap, the NBAA Maintenance Management Conference (MMC), Business Aviation Standards for Education (BASE), and more!

NBAA will also be hosting a Future of Aviation Maintenance Summit on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Listen in as representatives from the FAA, Part 147 schools, trade associations, and other members of the aircraft maintenance community discuss issues affecting the future of aviation maintenance.

AMT and AMTSociety will be exhibiting at the show. Be sure to stop by booth 5426 and visit with us. We like to hear your feedback on how the magazine and get future article ideas from you. At the booth, you can also learn more about AMTSociety and all the member benefits it offers. You can even sign up for a membership at the booth.
See you in Atlanta!

NBAA Build 2007 — Building Relationships Between Airports and Local Communities

NBAA is celebrating its 60th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of flight in Georgia by building an aviation-themed playground in Atlanta for the community in close proximity to Fulton County Airport. In conjunction with The Home Depot and KaBOOM!, NBAA will build a playground for the Atlanta community hosting NBAA 2007. NBAA needs volunteers to make this a success — hundreds of them, in fact. As a volunteer, you’ll be fed and provided drinks throughout the day. You’ll receive a souvenir t-shirt to wear to show that you’re a volunteer.
