United Airlines Catering Workers Demonstrate to Unionize

A group representing the several thousand catering workers based at United food service kitchens at several hub airports spoke of their frustration at not being allowed to vote on unionizing.

United Airlines’ efforts to run an orderly, uneventful annual meeting today were interrupted by a small but forceful contingent of United catering kitchen workers eager to make their case for unionizing to United's top management.

A group representing the several thousand catering workers based at United food service kitchens at several hub airports (but not Chicago, where United outsources to LSG Sky Chefs) spoke — with the help of a bullhorn— of their frustration at not being allowed to vote on unionizing.
