Air Astana Deploys Ground Operations Resource Management System at Almaty

The platform is currently used by approximately 500 ground employees at the Kazakhstan hub, with that number expected to grow to about 800 by the end of the year.

Air Astana has implemented easie by ICRON's Resource Management System for ground operations at its hub in Almaty, Kazakhstan, completing a project designed to improve workforce planning and day-to-day operational coordination.

The implementation began in January 2026 and went live in June after being completed in less than six months through a joint effort between Air Astana and easie by ICRON.

The platform is currently used by approximately 500 ground employees, with that number expected to grow to about 800 by the end of the year. The system integrates roster management with real-time operational oversight, helping connect workforce planning with daily execution.

According to the companies, the software enables Air Astana to create more efficient employee schedules, reduce scheduling conflicts and adjust staffing more quickly as operational needs change. A mobile application also allows employees to manage roster-related tasks, receive work assignments and provide real-time status updates during operations.

Air Astana said the system has replaced several manual planning processes, reducing the time needed to prepare, validate and publish employee rosters while improving planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

The airline also said the platform provides greater visibility into workforce resources, helping optimize staffing, improve decision-making and reduce planning errors across its ground operations.
