Delta To Resume Weekend Seasonal Flights Between Boston and Myrtle Beach Starting in May

Jan. 3—MYRTLE BEACH — Delta Airlines appears ready to resume direct seasonal weekend flights from Myrtle Beach to Boston this spring, according to an industry publication and the airline's website.

A Centre for Aviation news brief posted Jan. 2 said Delta will launch the twice weekly direct run between May 23 and Sept. 3 based on global distribution system inventory timetables and displays.

The Sun News was able to book a direct flight from Myrtle Beach to Logan International on June 17 for $408 round trip.

Inquiries to Delta and Myrtle Beach International Airport for further comment was not immediately returned.

Delta accounted for nearly 10% of all passengers flying into and out of Myrtle Beach lat year, according to the airport's dashboard.

Karen Riordan, president of the Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, told the city council last month Boston was among its targeted spring and summer markets.

Delta announced in March 2021 it was adding direct weekend service runs between Myrtle Beach and Boston for the spring and summer season, building on its schedule that includes layovers in Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis and New York.
