Bomb Threats Trigger Evacuations on Two Turkey-Germany Flights

March 26, 2021

Two Turkish Airlines flights from Istanbul to Germany were evacuated due to bomb threats on Thursday, an airline spokesperson confirmed to dpa.

In total, the two planes, scheduled to fly from Istanbul to Stuttgart and Munich respectively, had 250 people on board.

Nothing was discovered on either aircraft and the threats were unfounded, the spokesperson said. The airport authorities had received a tip off but no further details were available.

After waiting for about two hours, the passengers were due to board new planes to their planned destinations.
