Sören Stark and Götz Wendenburg join the Executive Board of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt

Sören Stark takes over Chair of the Executive Board – Anke Giesen remains Deputy Chairwoman.

As part of its recent general meeting, the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt had two new members join the Executive Board. Thus Sören Stark, Executive Board member Operations at Lufthansa Cargo, became newly elected member and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Community. He succeeds Dr. Karl-Rudolf Rupprecht, who retired from Lufthansa at the end of March and had chaired the Board. Dr. Rupprecht was also co-founder of the Community.

Moreover new to the Executive Board is Götz Wendenburg, Branch Manager of Kühne + Nagel. He represents the member group of freight forwarders on the Board. This function was held by Markus Kampa of the Cool Chain Group until now. He forwent another term due to professional reasons, but will remain closely linked to the Community.

The other members were confirmed. So continuing on the Executive Board are:

  • Anke Giesen, Executive Board Member and Executive Director Operations of Fraport as well as Deputy Chairwoman for the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt
  • Michael Hoppe, Secretary General of the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG), for the airlines
  • Patrik Tschirch, Managing Director of LUG aircargo handling, for the cargo handlers
  • Andreas Heil, Vice President Global Trade Solutions of Kewill, for the other service providers

Our thanks also go to Markus Kampa, who during his tenure put himself out for the freight forwarders with high expertise“, said Anke Giesen on behalf of the Executive Board. "With Sören Stark and Götz Wendenburg two more professionals join us, with whom we will not only continue our path, but will also set new emphases. We are all looking forward to the collaboration.“

Sören Stark emphasized: "Frankfurt is the central hub for Lufthansa Cargo. This is why we want to further strengthen our home airport together with the members of the Air Cargo Community. I am very pleased to be collaborating within the Community and I am convinced that we continue to develop the site successfully."
