IATA Ground Handling Conference Underway in Doha

The event features two and half days of presentations, panel discussions, specialized tracks and workshops covering a wide array of topics critical to the aviation ground handling industry.

The 31st annual IATA Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) kicked off in Doha, Qatar, Monday at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.

The event features two and half days of presentations, panel discussions, specialized tracks and workshops covering a wide array of topics critical to the aviation ground handling industry.

Monday's lineup is headlined by a keynote address from Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive. Qatar Airways and Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) are serving as the host airline and principal sponsors.

Additionally, the ICHC Innovator 2018 copemtition finalists will be introduced. The winner will be announced on Wednesday.

The conference is expected to welcome more than 700 delegates representing ground services providers, airlines, aiports and manufacturers.
