KSU Aeronautics and Engineering Expo Skips Another Year

Sept. 2, 2021

For the second year in a row, Kent State University will not hold its Aeronautics and Engineering Expo at the airport on Kent Road in Stow.

College of Aeronautics and Engineering spokesperson Liz Porter said the event was not canceled but rather "we did not chose to plan the event for this year."

Instead, the college is focused on a groundbreaking for its new academic building on the main campus in Kent.

The event has been a summer favorite in Stow for over 20 years, but has not been held multiple times in the past few years.

It was canceled in 2018 due to the construction of the new FedEx building, but returned in 2019. It was canceled against in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
