Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) announced that Sun Country Airlines will offer weekly seasonal nonstop service to/from Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP). The service will commence on May 29 and operate through Sept. 11. The Saturday weekly flight will depart FAI at 9:45pm and arrive at MSP at 5:55am.
“Air service development has always been a priority at FAI, but even more so now as we work on rebuilding the nonstop connectivity lost due to the global pandemic. One of our top objectives at FAI is to make air travel affordable and accessible both to our residents and visitors. Therefore, we are incredibly proud to announce FAI’s first low-cost air service on Sun Country Airlines. Sun Country’s’ new summer service is the perfect time for visitors planning to take advantage of Fairbanks’ two seasons – the midnight sun season (April 22 – Aug. 20) when you can experience 24 hours of daylight, and the aurora season (Aug. 21-April 21) with the magical northern light displays.

Sun Country Airlines will join Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines in serving FAI from the lower 48 during summer 2021.
