Passenger Traffic Numbers Hit an All-Time High

Gaining worldwide recognition, the local wine and tourism industry is a key factor in the Rogue Valley’s strong economic growth, seeing nearly 11,000 visitors come to our area every day.

The Rogue Valley International – Medford Airport (MFR) saw more than 1 million passengers pass through its doors during last year, and has now recorded its highest passenger traffic month in its history.

June ended with the highest number of passengers ever with a total count of 107,241. Month-to-month, June 2019 surpassed last year’s 99,721 by over 7 percent. Year-to-date, the Airport is up nearly 10 percent.

Regarding June’s record breaking total, Airport Director Jerry Brienza stated, “There is certainly something special happening in the Rogue Valley. The region is experiencing tremendous growth, the economy is doing great, and people are simply flying every which way. We continue, each day, to explore opportunities that will enhance air service for our community.”
