KLM to Celebrate 100th Anniversary With Pop Up Concert at JFK Airport’s Terminal 4

Oct. 1, 2019

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will celebrate its 100th anniversary at JFK Terminal 4 on October 7 with a festive day of music including live performances by Netherlands-based Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. The anniversary will also mark KLM’s distinction as the world’s oldest airline still operating under its original name.

To surprise and delight customers in T4, the Orchestra will perform a five-piece selection during a 30-minute set located in the terminal’s Retail Lounge before moving to Gates 22 and 24 to serenade passengers who are boarding KLM flights. T4 will also be decorated with blue tulips, banners, and signage. Drinks and cake will be served to passengers during the event.

The celebration in the terminal is one of the many KLM events taking place worldwide to observe this monumental milestone, along with the unveiling of a special 100th anniversary edition porcelain house.
