DIXON – Capital projects stalled at Dixon Municipal Airport over the past couple of years are readying for takeoff.

In October, the City Council approved a $316,285 project to improve the lighting along the airport's main runway. Federal Aviation Administration grants will pay for the bulk of it; the city's share is about $15,400.
