Turkey Cuts Number of Commercial Flights
The number of commercial flights carried out in Turkey from January through April 2020 stood at 237,460, which is 36 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Over the reporting period, 130,023 commercial flights were carried out by domestic flights, and the rest 107,437 flights – by external flights. Meanwhile, the number of external commercial flights decreased by 35.6 percent.
In this period, 81,824 commercial flights were carried out at three major airports of Turkey including Sabiha Gokcen Airport, Ankara Esenboga Airport and Antalya Airport.
