2019 Airport Business Top 40 Under 40 Mahindra J. Bheodari
Mahindra J. Bheodari never consider the aviation industry for his career path, but since he walked in the doors he hasn’t left.
Bheodari is an airport system engineer for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). He began his career at the airport in 2011 where he established countless technical skills. Bheodari is the IT subject matter expert (SME) and systems administrator for ATL. He designs, plans and implements projects in the technological field.
Bheodari completed multimillion dollar budget plans for IT requirements to support ATL. He created operating system images for user’s desktops and laptop PCs to streamline the process of configuring devices.
In May 2014, ATL selected Bheodari for the “Employee Spotlight” for his commendable work and dedication to customers in his field.
“IT is very fast paced in airports and busy and it leads me to be able to see a lot of innovation and changes on a day to day basis,” Bheodari said.
Bheodari is responsible for reviewing and implementing IT systems to enhance ATL operational and efficiency capabilities. He has worked with several teams to design and implement parking reservation systems, upgrade and expand ATL consolidation of close circuit TV (CCTV) to digital and design and integrate a CCTV system to meet TSA requirements to facilitate a new constructed employee screening checkpoints.
“Being able to experience the technical side of airports and see how much technology is integrated in the airport and how it affects the day-to-day operations is fascinating to me,” Bheodari said.
Bheodari is also working on enhancing the parking revenue control system (PRCS) infrastructure, public safety computer aided dispatch system and revenue system and ATL common use terminal equipment (CUTE) upgrade.
