WASILLA, ALASKA, 22-July-2020 – Airforms, Inc. announced today they have been awarded FAA PMA approvals for a number of the components for the C208/208B Crew Ladder Assembly.  According to company officials, the approved parts include left hand & right hand Upper and Lower Arm Assembles, Upper and Lower Step Assemblies, Bracket Assemblies, Spacers and even replacement tread for the steps.  The Airforms components are direct replacements for the OEM parts, and are interchangeable with the parts in the original ladder assemblies

Airforms has long been known for engineering products that provide a superior service life, and this is also true for the crew ladder components.  Company officials explain that aluminum components are primed for finish coat paint, which also eliminates exposure to moisture and prevents corrosion.  In addition, Airforms designed the ladder arm pivot points with bushings made from a non-corroding alloy to prevent the intergranular corrosion that is caused by contact between dissimilar metals and the introduction of moisture.  The result is superior corrosion protection and longer lasting components.

All of the crew ladder components are value priced at a fraction of the cost of their OEM counterparts, and are in stock and ready to ship.

Airforms is the world’s leading supplier of replacement engine baffles for a wide range of general aviation aircraft; products also include an expanding line of turboprop aircraft PMA parts, STCs, and hard to source parts for fleet operators.  Airforms maintains an FAA approved manufacturing system for PMA parts.
