Aero Norway and GEO Aerospace Announce New Offload Agreement for CFM LEAP Engine Components

The new multi-year contract covers shop visits for the high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor and HPT stage 2 nozzle assemblies on LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines.

Aero Norway and GE Aerospace have announced a new shop visit offload agreement for CFM LEAP engine components.

The new multi-year contract covers shop visits for the high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor and HPT stage 2 nozzle assemblies on LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines.

This is the first contract of its kind that Aero Norway has entered.

By entering the agreement, Aero Norway becomes part of GE Aerospace’s open MRO network, aimed to mitigate growing LEAP maintenance demand that encompasses around 8,000 active engines and a 10,000-engine backlog.

Aero Norway CEO Neil Russell said, “We are very proud to sign this agreement with GE Aerospace. It represents a significant milestone in our CFM LEAP journey, and we are pleased to take this step in close partnership with GE Aerospace.”

Russell continued, “Together, our objective is to expand capacity within the ecosystem, delivering efficient, high-quality engine MRO support to customers. This agreement reflects the confidence placed in Aero Norway’s highly skilled technicians, as well as our steadfast commitment to quality.”

GE Aerospace Vice President, CFM LEAP & RISE Programs Flavio Gregorio commented, “This agreement reflects our commitment to work with highly capable, technically astute MRO providers to support high engine availability and utilization for operators.”

“Aero Norway and ITP Aero have more than three decades of experience delivering high-quality services – expertise which will help us improve MRO performance for our customers,” added Gregorio.

ITP Aero Executive Vice President of MRO Alan Jones said, “This agreement is another example of how the ITP Aero Group is scaling its MRO footprint and capabilities in line with the evolving needs of the market.”

Jones noted, “CFM LEAP is a key growth engine for our MRO strategy, and Aero Norway’s integration into GE Aerospace’s open MRO ecosystem demonstrates how we are building complementary capabilities across the Group”.

Aero Norway is an ITP Aero company and specialist MRO provider for CFM56 engines manufactured by CFM International. CFM International is a 50/50 joint company owned by GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines.
