Lufthansa Technik Extends Base Maintenance Contract with Emirates for A380 Aircraft
Lufthansa Technik has announced the extension of an existing base maintenance contract with Emirates covering the airline’s fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft.
The new contract spans multiple years and stipulates that Lufthansa Technik Philippines can keep performing heavy checks for Emirates’ A380 fleet through 2030—the largest agreement by value for the location.
Lufthansa Technik Philippines operates an MRO competence center for widebody base maintenance, with two dedicated lines now assigned exclusively to Emirates. Additional work is planned for completion at Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ new facility at Clark International Airport, once it opens.
Vice President Corporate Sales Europe, Middle East and Africa at Lufthansa Technik Kai Roepke said, “We sincerely thank Emirates for its continued trust and confidence in our organization.”
Roepke continued, “This agreement reflects the success of our partnership and the high quality consistently delivered by our teams.”
“As the world’s leading provider of MRO services, we are proud to support the operation of the world’s largest passenger aircraft and to further strengthen our collaboration with Emirates,” added Roepke.
Roepke concluded, “We look forward to continuing to offer reliable, high-quality maintenance support for the airline’s impressive A380 fleet in the years ahead.”
