EirTrade Aviation Receives Three New Maintenance Approvals at Ireland West Airport
EirTrade Aviation has received approval from three more global authorities, confirming compliance with individual requirements and the Overseas Territories Aviation Regulations.
The three new global authorizations that EirTrade Aviation secured are:
- Bailiwick of Guernsey (2-REG)
- Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands CAACI (VP-C)
- Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority BCAA (VP-B)
The new approvals cover authorization for:
- Operations
- Line maintenance
- Return-to-service
- Transitions
- Parking
- Storage
The company’s approvals at EirTrade Aviation’s facility at Ireland West Airport Knock (NOC) now cover service for these aircraft types:
- A320 (CFM56)
- A320 (IAE V2500)
- A320 NEO (IAE PW1100)
- A320 NEO (CFM LEAP-1A)
- A330 Series
- B737-600/700/800/900 NG (CFM56)
- B737-8/9/8200 MAX (CFM LEAP-1B)
EirTrade Aviation Maintenance’s Compliance Monitoring & Safety Management Team performed rigorous evaluations, ensuring all aspects of operations were compliant and all documentation was prepared. This included:
- MOE supplements
- Documents and forms
- Staff training
- Certifying Staff authorizations
EirTrade Aviation Quality Manager Jim Maguinness said, “Having added A320 NEO (PW1100) and A330 aircraft to our EASA Part-145 capabilities in 2025, we were looking to see how we could further extend and improve the line maintenance services we offer to airline and aircraft lessor customers.”
Maguinness continued, “We observed that some leasing companies and operators were using Bailiwick of Guernsey (2-REG), Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands CAACI (VP-C) and Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority BCAA (VP-B) for operations, transitions, parking and storage—this presented an excellent opportunity for us to expand our capabilities to further support their requirements.”
“The potential opportunities were realized immediately,” added Maguinness, “We welcomed two aircraft into parking and storage programs—one is 2-REG and the second is Cayman Reg. Both are new customers for EirTrade Aviation Maintenance Limited.”
EirTrade Aviation Chief Investment Officer Lee Carey said, “EirTrade’s ambitions for Knock are to create a center of excellence to cater for mature aircraft on the island of Ireland that can provide strategic benefit to airline and aircraft lessor customers.”
