Duncan Aviation Celebrates New Dedicated Engine MRO in Nebraska

Duncan Aviation recently expanded its Turbine Engine Overhaul Shop, formally dedicating the location to engine MRO services.

The modern facility showcases Duncan Aviation’s dedication to making long-term investments in infrastructure that can scale capacity with growing demand for MRO around the world.

As Duncan Aviation operates as a Pratt & Whitney Designated Overhaul Facility, the new expansion highlights the company’s collaboration with the engine manufacturer.

The company held a VIP ceremony to celebrate the dedication, attended by:

  • Duncan Aviation senior management team
  • Officials from Lincoln Airport Authority
  • Construction partners
  • State and local government dignitaries

VIP guests included:

  • Lincoln Mayor Leiron Gaylor Baird
  • Lincoln Airport Authority leaders Michael Griffin and Chad Neuhalfen
  • Nebraska Legislative Senators Carolyn Bosn and Jason Prokop
  • Hausmann Construction representatives
  • Commonwealth Electric representatives
  • Rasmussen Air and Gas Energy representatives

Each VIP attendee received a limited-edition challenge coin displaying four generations of the Duncan family, commemorating Duncan Aviation’s 70th anniversary.

After the dedication, Duncan Aviation’s senior management team led a tour of the new facility to spotlight:

  • Advanced aviation technology
  • Streamlined workflows currently in operation
  • Technical Education Center

At Duncan Aviation’s Technical Education Center, team members can train to earn their A&P certificates.

 During the dedication, Duncan Aviation Chairman Todd Duncan said, "This facility represents a significant investment in our future."

Duncan continued, "It expands our capabilities, strengthens our engine service offerings and positions us to better serve customers from across the country and around the world.”
