ExecuJet MRO Services Renews African and US Approvals

Regulatory audits of the South Africa location assessed maintenance record traceability, engineering qualifications and certifications and quality control systems.

The South Africa location of ExecuJet MRO Services recently announced successful renewals of approvals from African civil aviation authorities and the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The African civil aviation authorities that renewed approvals for the company are:

  • Angola
  • Botswana
  • Malawi
  • Mozambique
  • Namibia
  • Nigeria
  • South Africa
  • Zambia

Regulatory audits at ExecuJet’s facility located at Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport ensured the company’s maintenance operations remain compliant with international standards. The audit assessed:

  • Maintenance record traceability
  • Engineering qualifications and certifications
  • Quality control systems

“Maintaining these approvals is more than a compliance requirement. It demonstrates our technical capability and the trust we have earned from regulators across Africa,” says Vince Goncalves, regional VP Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services, adding that the business aviation activity continues to gain momentum on the continent.

“We are witnessing notable growth with new aircraft entering service, and international charter operators positioning fleets in the region to meet rising demand. This underscores the continent’s growing importance in the global business aviation landscape,” adds Goncalves.

As part of the company’s efforts to expand its services, ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa is also pursuiing approval for its in-house spray booth, which makes it possible tol perform touch-up paintwork on aircraft components up to 1.5 meters large.

ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa has the capacity to serve 14 aircraft at once, making it the biggest business aviation MRO in Africa. The company is a subsidiary of Dassault Aviation.
