ATR and ATAVIS have signed a Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) that ensures fleet support for 26 ATR 72-600 aircraft operated by CANAIR and NAYSA.

ATR is a renowned manufacturer of regional aircraft, and ATAVIS is a Binter entity that specializes in supply chain management and technical procurement.

ATR offers the Global Maintenance Agreement as a strategic way to help airlines connect communities with aircraft that are safe, efficient and reliable. This agreement provides operators with scalable solutions that can be tailored to flexible needs, such as:

  • On-aircraft maintenance
  • Off-aircraft maintenance
  • New route launches
  • Fleet expansions

This five-year agreement with Binter covers a comprehensive Repair loop service on a pay-by-hour (PBH) basis and includes 180 part numbers. It results from identifying and discussing the airline’s needs and designing services that help mitigate its challenges.

By joining ATR’s GMA community, Binter will experience benefits like:

  • Predictable maintenance costs aligned with aircraft usage
  • Optimized cash flow
  • Reduced operational risk
  • Access to ATR’s technical expertise and supplier network
  • Enhanced reliability and efficiency of operations across the Canary Islands

“At Binter, our priority is to offer our passengers a reliable and high-quality travel experience. Ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest standards is fundamental to that mission,” said Javier Bretón, CTO at Binter.

Bretón continued, “This partnership with ATR is a strategic step, allowing us to reinforce our commitment to operational excellence, while benefiting from the manufacturer’s deep technical expertise and proven support solutions.”

SVP Customer Support and Services at ATR Stefano Marazzani noted, “This agreement reflects Binter’s strong commitment to delivering operational excellence and reliability to its passengers. Binter’s high technical and operational standards will challenge us to continuously improve and become an even stronger partner for all ATR operators.”

Marazzani added, “We’re happy and proud to welcome them into our GMA community, which is the embodiment of ATR’s constant strive to delivering flexible support solutions that help our customers meet their daily operational challenges.”

The GMA supports several business models, ensuring long-term efficiency for all operators and offering special benefits for start-ups such as limited upfront investment and predictable maintenance costs, facilitating easier entry into service.

By mutualizing resources and sharing technical expertise, ATR helps its customers:

  • Reduce operational risk
  • Optimize fleet performance
  • Focus on delivering value to passengers
