Experimental Aircraft Association Brings Back EAA Homebuilders Week Webinars
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has announced the return of its Homebuilders Week series of webinars geared toward aviation enthusiasts who build or hope to build their own aircraft.
The Homebuilders Week online webinar series is scheduled for January 26-30, 2026.
This event consists of 30 presentations that people can attend virtually and completely free to learn about how to engage with home-built aircraft. However, interested parties must register online, as space is limited.
Each day’s schedule will begin with the first presentation at 11:30am CST and proceed with presentations until 8:15pm. Some webinars are eligible for FAA WINGS and AMT credit.
The presentation topics include:
- Getting started on a home-built aircraft
- Techniques when building with sheet metal and composites
- Panel planning
- Wiring
- Engine installation
- Flight testing
- FAA certification
At 2:30pm on Monday, January 26, EAA’s advocacy team will provide key updates for homebuilders in a webinar focusing on:
- Current issues for homebuilders
- MOSAIC/Sport Pilot 2.0 and other changes
- Aviation industry challenges
Sessions that are live will give attendees time to ask questions, and recordings of all sessions will be archived on EAA’s website for members to view later.
“The homebuilt community continues to evolve every year as new builds begin and current ones become airworthy,” said Charlie Becker, EAA’s director of chapters and homebuilt community manager.
Becker added, “No matter what stage of the process a new or experienced builder is at, EAA Homebuilders Week has a webinar to meet their needs.”
The EAA bases Homebuilders Week on its previous webinar series, presenting to over 300,000 attendees in the past 15 years.
