Following a successful evaluation of AGlaze Aviation Sealant on one of their Airbus A330-300 aircraft, National Airlines has placed an order to treat six additional aircraft in their B747 fleet.

“The trial delivered exactly what we were hoping for—a clear improvement in appearance with the added benefit of long-term protection,” said James Casbarro, vice president of Technical Operations, National Airlines, “We’re pleased to move forward with the wider rollout across our fleet.”

Developed specifically for the aviation sector, AGlaze Aviation Sealant forms a durable, high-gloss and smooth protective layer that helps shield the aircraft’s exterior from UV degradation, corrosion and surface contamination. Independent testing has shown that the treatment reduces parasitic drag by around 1.3%, resulting in potential fuel savings of between 0.5% and 1%, depending on flight profile and operating conditions.

Managing Director of Gryphon Aviation Partners (UK) Ltd. Mike Cappuccitti commented, “National Airlines’ decision to expand use of AGlaze across its B747 fleet is a strong endorsement of the product’s value. We are proud to support them in delivering tangible operational and sustainability gains.”
