Air Force Helicopter Crashes During Training Flight, No Casualties Reported
Jun. 20—AMMAN — An official military source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) announced that a Royal Air Force Cobra military helicopter crashed on Monday during a training flight.
An incident occurred while in flight, resulting in an attempted emergency landing in the Baqaa region, with no civilian casualties reported. According to the source, both pilots on board sustained injuries from the crash.
They have been evacuated to Al Hussein Medical Centre, where they were listed in fair condition, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. The JAF General Command urged citizens to refrain from spreading rumours as that could spread unnecessary concern among the public, emphasising the importance of seeking information from reliable sources.
