Amazing Children’s Air Ambulance Transformation
The Starship Air Ambulance provides vital services for sick children through the Starship Children’s Hospital in New Zealand. This video shows the transformation of their King Air 350 from a typical business configuration to become the life saving air ambulance it is today. Elliott Aviation’s team of highly-skilled technicians refurbished this aircraft to have a Garmin G1000, full medical interior and a stunning paint job to help keep children calm in a very difficult time in their lives. The paint scheme was reminiscent of a children’s drawing and included 22 different colors. The design included a rocket ship, planets, stars, doctors, nurses and children. The Garmin G1000 was installed in this aircraft with synthetic vision, charts and weather to allow for the safest and most reliable aircraft operation available. The air medical interior included two Lifeport medical beds, lawn coin industrial flooring, sidewalls and a medical grade headliner and window line.
