AviationPros Announces Promotions, New Hires

Lester Craft, Missy Zingsheim and Sue Ralston are taking on expanded roles with the company while Walker Jaroch and Fred Ferris join the team.

As it moves into the New Year, the Aviation Group at Endeavor Business Media has announced several promotions and has welcomed two new members to its team.

The Aviation Group is made up of Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT), Airport Business and Ground Support Worldwide magazines and its portal website AviationPros.com as well as the International GSE Expo and the Business Aviation Summit.

Promotions

Having recently served as Publisher of AMT magazine and AviationPros.com, Lester Craft has been named VP/Group Publisher at Endeavor Business Media, with responsibility for the recently acquired Forester Media, as well as several of the properties previously under Gloria Cosby, who retired as of Dec. 31, 2018.

Reporting to Craft will be Endeavor's Aviation Group, Facilities Shows Group, CPA Practice Advisor and the Forester publications, digital properties and events.

Craft joined one of Endeavor's acquired companies, Cygnus Publishing, in 2012 as Group Director of Digital Sales before assuming his additional responsibilities with the Aviation Group.

Missy Zingsheim has been promoted to Group Publisher within Endeavor’s Aviation Group, overseeing AMT, Airport Business, Ground Support Worldwide and AviationPros.com.

Zingsheim started with with the company in 2005 as the classified rep for the Aviation Group. Her hard work and dedication to its properties and understanding of the production, financial and aviation industry has led her to her current position as Group Publisher.

Zingsheim studied at UW-Whitewater where she met her husband Troy and now has two children Caitlin (12) and Ethan (7) and lives in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Sue Ralston has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President-Event Operations at Endeavor Business Media.

In her new role, Ralston will manage Endeavor’s event operations including the International GSE Expo, Firehouse Expo, Firehouse World and Firehouse Station Design Conference as well as the recently acquired StormCon event.

Prior to Endeavor, Ralston spent 16 years as the Show Manager for the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s annual conference and trade show. She is certified in Exhibition Management and resides in the Chicago area.

New Hires

Walker Jaroch has been named Assistant Editor for the AviationPros team and its affiliated properties.

A Wisconsin native, Jaroch has been a professional writer and photographer since 2016. He studied writing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and began his writing career in the newspaper industry as the assistant editor of the Cambridge News and Deerfield Independent. As a photographer, Jaroch has operated mobile portrait studios and shot events ranging from concerts to basketball tournaments.

Fred Ferris has joined the AMT sales force as a National Accounts Manager.

Ferris is a graduate of Ohio State University, where he studied PR/Journalism. He has been in B2B publishing sales for the last 22 years, and resides in Saco, Maine.

Originally an editor, Ferris has written many articles on everything from printing to restaurant reviews (the latter for the Chicago Sun-Times). His father (who passed away last month) was the Washington D.C. Editorial Director of United Press International during/ before/after Watergate.

Ferris moved into sales in the late 90s (despite howls of "traitor" from his former editorial colleagues … but not his Dad) and has never looked back.

He lives with his wife AnnaMarie (a professional B2B production manager) and both are passionate about travel, mountains and log cabins as well as their first pet together, Bubbles.
