Ring in the New

Dec. 9, 2019
New year, new magazine. Aircraft Maintenance Technology is currently getting a face lift and will emerge early 2020 with a new look.

As chief editor Ronald Donner explained in Editor’s Viewpoint on page 4 of this issue, Aircraft Maintenance Technology has undergone an aggressive staff overhaul throughout 2019. Promotions, retirements and new hires have shaped the new staff into what it is now – a strong team at that.

With a new workforce comes fresh ideas for improving upon an already solid magazine as a trusted resource for the aircraft maintenance community. This includes this issue’s 2020 Annual Directory: Guide to manufacturers, suppliers, distributors & service providers related to aircraft maintenance. This directory, formerly known as the Technical Support Directory, continues to be the same trusted resource guide for all things support and service revolving around aircraft maintenance. This includes all forms of air travel including business, general, commercial, military, rotorcraft and unmanned aircraft. Not only did the directory get a new name – but a new method of organization, too. You can find the companies listed by category starting on page 6 and the full company listings with contact information starting on page 10.

When the New Year rings in January, we also will be launching three new eNewsletters. Product & Equipment Weekly eNewsletter will deploy every Wednesday, with a focus on the latest and greatest in product and equipment offerings for aircraft technicians and maintenance providers. We are always looking for new products and services to share with our dedicated readership – so if you have a product you would like to share that we already don’t have listed in our Buyer’s Guide on AviationPros.com, please send directly to me at [email protected]. We will do our best to feature your product or service in an upcoming Product & Equipment Weekly.

AMT will also be launching a special Friday Edition of our newsletter called the MRO Report, starting in early January, as well. This will, as the name implies, focus on maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft of all kinds. The Aircraft Maintenance Technology Daily eNewsletter will cut the “Daily” and change its name to the Aircraft Maintenance Technology eNewsletter and will drop every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning.

The last eNewsletter isn’t so much new as it is reinvented. What you know as the eMilitary Digital Publication, which was previously released quarterly, will be the eMilitary eNewsletter, which will deploy twice a month to your inbox starting in January.

The changes aren’t stopping there, no. Aircraft Maintenance Technology is currently getting a facelift and will emerge early 2020 with a new look. Our design team is working diligently to create something sharp, clean and vibrant. Keep your eyes peeled for a new design, new magazine sections and new writers to be featured.

Happy New Year to you and yours.
