B/E Aerospace Receives STC for B777-200 Interior Reconfiguration

Manufacturer and distributor to provide retrofit installation of cabin interiors on B777-200 aircraft for Japan Airlines.

MARYSVILLE, WA – B/E Aerospace Inc., a manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products and distributor of aerospace fasteners, announces that it has received a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to provide retrofit installation of cabin interiors on B777-200 aircraft for Japan Airlines (JAL). The FAA STC is also validated by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).

B/E Aerospace, through its reconfiguration and structures business unit, FSI, based in Marysville, WA, is the integrator of the cabin interior reconfiguration for JAL, was responsible for a turn-key integration and overall certification package, including B/E Aerospace designed and built closets, stowbins, class dividers, and installation kits. The project also included the full integration and certification of the IFE system. The initial prototype installation was completed at the JAL maintenance and engineering facility in Tokyo December 2008.

B/E Aerospace currently holds more than 200 STCs, which are required for the serial modification of aircraft.
