China Aircraft Services Ltd (CASL), one of the largest aircraft maintenance and ground support service providers in Hong Kong, on Friday launched a new aircraft maintenance hangar at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) to meet the increasing demand for its services, the official Xinhua News reported.
The hangar, which cost HK$400 million, provides 10,000 square meters of maintenance space and is able to simultaneously accommodate one wide-body aircraft, such as the large B747 aircraft used for international flights, and one narrow-body aircraft, such as the smaller aircraft used for regional flights.
