Force will personally be in Oshkosh on Wednesday, July 27 for a full day of fan interaction including an autograph session with Edsel Ford from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Ford Hangar. The Mustang Funny Cars on display will include John Force’s infamous Superman Castrol GTX Mustang as well as Force’s 25th Anniversary Castrol GTX High Mileage, Robert Hight’s 2010 Auto Club Ford Mustang and Ashley Force Hood’s Ronald McDonald Castrol GTX Mustang she raced in 2008.
“We have taken the Road Show to NASCAR races and even the Indy 500 but I am really excited to be heading to Oshkosh for the EAA AirVenture Air Show. There will be over 500,000 people in attendance and I want them all to come by and take a look at our Road Show,” said 15-time Funny Car champion John Force.
“We’ll have our Warbird Funny Car on display and fans will be able to check out our race cars as well as the race videos. The great thing about the Road Show is that it is more than just show cars it is educational and entertaining. Fans will see highlights from NHRA, NASCAR and Indy Car when they stop by and it is always changing.”
The John Force Road Show will be located in the Cruisin' Legends area of AirVenture show (Knapp Street near Warbird Alley). In addition to the five Ford Mustang Funny Cars on display there will be a P-51 Mustang near-by and Jack Roush Racing will have their trailer in the same area.
“Our relationship with Ford is a major reason we are coming to 2011 EAA AirVenture for sure but we also want to spread the gospel for all our sponsors and help grow our sport. I love NHRA Drag Racing and to have an opportunity to showcase it in front of so many people, I could not pass it up. We’ll be going from Denver to the air show to Sonoma, California but I love it,” added Force.
John Force will join Edsel Ford, Harrison Ford and Jack Roush as the VIPs for the Ford Fly-In movie theater event on Wednesday night. If you know anything about John Force you know he loves the movies.
