AERO Specialties Expands Distribution in Europe

July 8, 2008
AERO Specialties has begun working with distributors throughout the European Union.

Following a very successful EBACE (European Business Aviation Association) trade show in Geneva last May, AERO Specialties has begun working with distributors throughout the European Union.

“The reception we received in Geneva was astounding,” said Matt Sheehan, president of AERO. “Our CE-marked equipment excited many corporate and FBO operators who have been seeking an alternative to suppliers such as Tronair and Hydro for their ground support equipment. The fact that everything we manufacture is CE-marked and in stock, not to mention very affordable given the weak dollar, has already resulted in numerous direct orders from new EU customers.”

Following EBACE, Bob McMichael, VP of sales & marketing, traveled extensively throughout Europe meeting with established GSE distributors who were eager to take on another quality product line. “We are thrilled to be able to plug into existing distribution networks in Europe,” said McMichael. Several distributors have already placed orders for new GSE, with more contracts pending.

In addition to working directly with distributors, AERO expects to open a distribution center in the EU soon. “At home,” says Sheehan, “we have ramped up our production capacity for towbars, lavatory and water carts, and oxygen and nitrogen systems such that we are planning before the end of 2008 to have at least one distribution center in the EU, making all of our products that much more price-competitive in Europe.” AERO is currently evaluating distribution centers in Italy, France, The Netherlands, and the UK.
