Hooters Air to Cancel Service From Greater Rockford Airport
AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-©1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Hooters Air will reduce service from the Greater Rockford Airport in Rockford, Illinois and end service effective 5 January 2006.
The airline said that increased costs, and the recent announcement by the Rockford Airport Authority that it will provide USD2.5m in incentives and revenue guarantees to a Hooters Air competitor to secure additional air service between Rockford and Denver, led to the decision.
The airline's president Mark Peterson said that Hooters Air will shift some assets from scheduled service to charter.
