Dec. 14, 2017 -- In its 50th anniversary year, Fluid Transfer International is delighted to announce a surge in UK and export orders, currently totalling £17.8M, with further orders likely.

Managing Director, John Little, says “These orders are testament to the confidence and value our customers place in our equipment and FTi as a long standing business. It continues our export drive and strategy to find respected and trusted local in-country partners to integrate the assembly and in service support of our products. We have now added Turkey to our list of well over 100 countries we export to globally. These contracts provide new job opportunities whilst guaranteeing work through to 2019.”

Head of Sales, Daniel Martin comments, “After an already impressive order book, I am delighted to announce a further £12M of orders secured in recent weeks for Turkey and Indonesia. We will continue our drive for further sales as we seek to grow the business further and establish FTi as the first choice and world leading provider of aircraft refuelling vehicles and equipment to customers globally.”

UK orders currently include hydrant dispensers for Heathrow International Airport, and refuellers for Cardiff, Newcastle and Birmingham International Airports. Export orders have been received from Greece for refuellers and hydrant dispensers, and South Korea, Philippines and the Netherlands for hydrant dispensers. The most recent orders are among the largest commercial contracts for FTi, with 60 hydrant dispensers ordered for the new airport in Istanbul, for which FTi will partner with Izmir-based vehicle specialist builder Katmerciler. This adds to a new order from Indonesian petroleum company Pertamina and builds on two previously successful contracts in 2012 and 2017. This order, the company's largest yet for Pertamina, is for 29 hydrant dispensers, 29 refuellers and 2 hydrant pit cleaners, further enhancing FTi’s relationship with its Indonesian partner, PT Aweco Steel, who manufacture the fuel tanks and integrate FTi supplied refuelling modules to the locally purchased chassis.

These orders will provide between 30 to 40 additional job opportunities for project managers, design and test engineers, mechanical and electrical fitters.
