Portugal Infrastructure Minister Opens GSE Expo Europe 2026
Portugal’s Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Miguel Pinto Luz officially opened GSE Expo Europe 2026 Tuesday in Lisbon, cutting the ribbon to kick off three days of equipment displays, technology demonstrations and industry discussions at FIL.
Following the opening ceremony, Pinto Luz joined a VIP tour of stands representing members of the International Airport Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IAEMA) Board. Stops included Oshkosh AeroTech, ACT, Mallaghan, TLD, Vestergaard, Power Stow and COBUS, as well as the IAEMA stand.
Held Sept. 15–17, GSE Expo Europe brings ground support equipment manufacturers, suppliers and ground operations professionals together from across the international aviation industry. This year’s sold-out exhibition floor includes indoor and outdoor equipment displays, along with dedicated areas highlighting autonomous GSE and fleet management technologies.
Autonomy, electrification and digital fleet management are among the technologies prominent at this year’s show, alongside equipment designed to address longstanding ground handling priorities including safety, efficiency and reliability. A dedicated Demo Zone also gives attendees an opportunity to see equipment and technology in operation.
The opening day drew attendees onto the show floor immediately following the ribbon cutting, beginning three days of product introductions, demonstrations and meetings across the GSE industry.
Ground Support Worldwide is in Lisbon for GSE Expo Europe and will be covering new equipment, technologies and industry developments throughout the event. Watch for more news and updates from the show floor throughout the week.
