dnata has expanded its cargo control capabilities in Dubai with the launch of a Cargo Integrated Command Centre designed to provide near real-time visibility across its operations at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum International Airport.

Located at dnata’s DXB hub, the center brings operational data from across both airports into a centralized environment, helping teams coordinate resources, monitor cargo flows and respond more quickly to changing conditions.

The operation handled more than one million tonnes of cargo, 189,000 flight movements and 46,000 truck movements during the 2025-26 financial year.

At the center of the system is an internally developed operational dashboard that refreshes data every 10 seconds. The dashboard incorporates information from dnata’s One Cargo management system, its Appointment and Dock Management system and Calogi cargo community platform.

Together, the systems give teams visibility into cargo handling activities, truck movements, landside operations and ancillary services across the two airports. dnata said the integrated view is intended to help teams identify potential bottlenecks and make faster decisions involving workload, capacity and resource allocation.

“Cargo operations involve thousands of interconnected activities every day, making operational visibility essential to maintaining performance at scale,” said Nabil Sultan Al Murr, group chief executive officer of dnata. “The integration of our people, systems and operational data into a single operating environment gives us a stronger foundation to manage increasing complexity and support future growth.”

The command center builds on other technology investments within dnata’s Dubai cargo operations. The company has introduced autonomous drones for warehouse inventory processes, which it says have achieved more than 99% accuracy in shipment tracking.

dnata has also developed a centralized cargo screening control room with Dubai Police that allows six X-ray screening machines at DXB to be remotely operated and monitored from one location.

The company said the Cargo Integrated Command Centre has been designed as a scalable platform capable of supporting expanding cargo volumes and increasing operational complexity as Dubai adds aviation and logistics capacity.
