Aviator Signs New Ground Handling Agreement With Wizz Air in Norway
Aviator Airport Alliance (Aviator), a full-range provider of aviation services at 15 airports across the Nordics and part of Avia Solutions Group, has signed a new three-year agreement with Wizz Air covering ground handling and deicing services at eight airports in Norway.
The contract with Europe’s third-largest low-cost carrier will begin Jan. 13, 2026. Services will be provided at Ålesund Airport (AES), Bergen Airport (BGO), Bodø Airport (BOO), Haugesund Airport (HAU), Kristiansand Airport (KRS), Stavanger Airport (SVG), Tromsø Airport (TOS), and Trondheim Airport (TRD). While no flights are currently planned for Bodø or Kristiansand, the agreement includes the option to support future operations at those locations.
“We are delighted to see Wizz Air becoming our client again in Norway, and we are looking forward to starting this new partnership with the airline,” said Peter Stackeryd, managing director, Aviator Norway. “We are excited that Wizz Air has chosen us, and we look forward to delivering strong results and on-time performance for its passengers.”
The agreement further strengthens the long-standing relationship between Aviator and Wizz Air in the Nordics. The two companies already partner in Denmark at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and in Sweden at Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT), and Malmö Airport (MMX).
“We have successfully partnered with Aviator in Norway before and are pleased to be reestablishing this cooperation,” said Kristof Filemon, airport development manager at Wizz Air. “Our existing partnerships in Denmark and Sweden have demonstrated Aviator’s safety-first approach, high quality standards, and reliability, which are essential as we continue to develop our operations across Norway.”
Based in Budapest, Hungary, Wizz Air and its subsidiaries connect destinations across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. The airline carried 62.7 million passengers last year.
