Breeze Airways Returning Service Between Richmond and Jacksonville
Breeze Airways, low-fare airline founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, announced Dec. 7 it is returning service to Jacksonville from Richmond next year. The route will commence on May 18 and operate on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.
Breeze already offers eight destinations from Richmond, including Charleston, SC; Hartford, CT; Las Vegas, NV; New Orleans, LA; Phoenix, AZ; Provo-Salt Lake City, UT; San Francisco, CA; and Tampa, FL.
“We applaud Breeze Airways’ return of service between Richmond (RIC) and Jacksonville (JAX) starting in mid-May,” said Perry J. Miller, A.A.E., I.A.P., president and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Commission. “We cannot imagine a nicer way than Breeze to make it happen and look forward to supporting exceptional flight experiences for travelers on both ends of the route.”
“Breeze always looks for underserved routes where we can add nonstop flights, low fares and our brand of Seriously Nice service,” said Tom Doxey, Breeze Airways’ President. “With returning service to Jacksonville, we now offer nine destinations from RIC.”
Breeze took flight in May 2021 and has quickly expanded across the U.S. connecting underserved city pairs with fast, efficient flights. The airline’s business model centers around offering affordable fares with plenty of perks including no change and cancellation fees up to 15 minutes prior to departure, free family seating and enhanced seating options including Extra Legroom and First Class seats. Guests can choose from a la carte or bundled options to create a travel experience that meets their needs.
