J.J. Morton Named 2020 ACC Board of Directors Chair

Morton assumed the position at the ACC membership meeting Nov.12, during the 41st ACC Annual Conference and Exposition in Palm Spring, California.

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce the election of J.J. Morton, senior vice president, Kimley-Horn, as the chair of the 2020 ACC Board of Directors. Morton assumed the position at the ACC membership meeting Nov. 12, during the 41st ACC Annual Conference & Exposition in Palm Spring, California.

Morton is a past chair of the ACC Engineering Committee and the ACC/AAAE Planning Design and Construction Symposium. He served as the vice chair of the ACC Institute and has contributed to ACC event panels, webinars, and in-person training events.

As a Senior Vice President at Kimley-Horn, Morton is part of the firmwide national aviation leadership team and has more than 20 years of civil engineering experience in aviation airside and landside design and construction administration and management. His project experience includes work at 18 airports on more than 20 runways, 36 taxiways, and 15 aprons. Airports around the country rely on Morton for his knowledge of airspace, operational considerations, and FAA Advisory Circulars and his ability to coordinate with municipal, state, and federal agencies. Morton has a passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of aviation professionals.
