Part 121 Airline Operations Course Prepares New Hires for Airline Flying

Aug. 2, 2021

July 29, 2021, Oshkosh WI. – Pilots starting their first job at a Part 121 airline can be overwhelmed by the unfamiliar operational environment that has countless new procedures specific to airline operations. A new course available from King Schools will give these new hires the knowledge and vocabulary they need to show up prepared for their new position. Pilots taking this course will be primed for their first check in the simulator by timely and valuable video guidance.  They’ll be ready to match the pace and to do just the right thing at each stage of a flight—often referred to as performing according to the “script.”  Joe Munoz of 1StepPrep, an experienced airline pilot and trainer, partnered with King Schools to ensure that this Part 121 Airline Operations course provides the instruction essential to ensure that a new hire will show up with the airline operations knowledge required to make a good impression and to succeed.

Muñoz, the CEO and co-founder of 1StepPrep said, “This is a program I wish I would have had when I started my career. Like many pilots, my first flying job was for Part 135 charter. Many future airline pilots will also be coming up from a charter, corporate, military, or even general aviation background. This course will give those new airline pilots the terminology and operational knowledge essential for Part 121 flying.”

King Schools’ CEO Barry Knuttila commented, “King Schools and 1StepPrep have collaborated on more than a dozen courses over the last 5 years, and like King Schools, Joe’s team is continuously improving every aspect of their courses.  Joe is an excellent instructor who follows the King philosophy of taking relatively complex material and simplifying it, clarifying it and making it fun to learn.”
