Las Vegas, NV – In three days, ATG will conclude the 2019/2020 Aero Skills Tournament series with 15 competitors in 2 skill levels for the National Finals, which will take place at the NASCAR Fan Zone, in sunny Las Vegas, NV, Feb 22nd & 23rd. Delayed Broadcasting/recording will take place over those two days. Each day, at Noon (fabrication) and at three pm (riveting) on the My ATG Facebook page.

We expect thousands to check out our event on-line and on-site. So far, hundreds have competed and helped where thousands of fans had watched the eight regional events that were held across North America in the summer and fall of 2019, where students and Journeypersons competed for Top Gun where, suitingly, the structures trade has adopted the GUNSLINGER persona – very fitting name since these career jobs use PISTOL drills and rivet GUNS.  Fifteen finalists who won their regionals will be competing at these National finals, over two days on their project, in front of a live race fan audience.  This time the full project has to be built at the event, a little different format from the regional one; so, they will have to fabricate their parts and assemble their pieces in head-to-head with points awarded for speed (40%) and quality (60%). Sunday the techs do a repair to that same part they built. The combined weekend scores will determine the winners of the Top Gun titles for the Senior and Junior classifications. Awards will be made after the Cup race on Sunday.
