Tulsa Tech School Board Honored in January

Tulsa Tech, the oldest and largest in Oklahoma’s CareerTech System, is a career and technology center school district dedicated to educating people for success in the workplace.

TULSA, OK – January 10, 2017 – January is School Board Recognition Month and an opportunity for local schools and communities to honor Oklahoma’s more than 2,700 elected school board members for their dedication to children and schools.

“Providing our community with a solid education and career training is the most important investment we can make,” said Dr. Steve Tiger, CEO and Superintendent at Tulsa Tech. “We’re very proud of our district, and School Board Recognition Month is the time to say thank you and celebrate the accomplishments of our elected board members.”

At Tulsa Tech, school board members develop policies and make tough decisions on complex educational and social issues impacting the district, leading business partners, community leaders and other constituents. They bear responsibility for over 5,000 full-time students, over 30,000 part-time evening and weekend students, over 500 corporate training clients, and over 600 employees across six campuses.
