Next Generation Maintenance Professionals
We’re finishing up our 40 Under 40 Next Gen Awards program for this year. The November/December issue of AMT will profile the 40 selected individuals. This is the third year we’ve had the program and each year it gets better. It is rewarding to read about the nominees, their background, education, their career paths, and of course their passion toward aviation.
I feel it’s important to also thank those of you who nominated someone – thank you for recognizing young talent and supporting the next group of aircraft maintenance professionals, whether a mechanic or a company executive.
One of the criteria we consider when reviewing nominations is education and ongoing training. I also want to thank all the training companies, the schools, and universities that play a huge role in the next generation of aircraft maintenance professionals. Be it a community college, a university, a private college, or one of several organizations that provide maintenance training, these organizations are an essential part of our industry.
So thanks to everyone who participated in this program and who plays a role in the future of maintenance. The winners will be announced soon. Ron
